Below are a few of my paintings from the past few years. Most were painted alla prima, ‘en plein air’, which means painted in one go, on location, outside with all of the challenges that may bring.
My aim is to capture a particular place and moment in time, the way I see it. That includes the weather, particularly the clouds.
The subjects inspire my artwork whether that be places, people, objects or architecture. Many of my paintings have an historic element as I love that things from the past are still in our present.
Usually, my landscape paintings have an element of tranquillity and open space, which gives a sense of freedom that comes with nature.
I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.
